The center has as career opportunity for a talented Nurse Manager to lead the Pre-Op and PACU team. The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with Pre-Op/PACU background, previous experience as a nurse manager and possess exceptional interpersonal skills, compelling communication, service & quality focus and the ability to build & support a strong team.
In addition to managing the Pre-Op and PACU team, the RN Manager will also maintain an ! efficient work schedule for the team, support/coach/develop st! aff, conduct annual performance reviews, manage staff development and review monthly budgets. Also responsible for assuring that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met and will participate in the Risk Management
and Quality Improvement process and activities including the areas of safety, medical chart review, patient satisfaction and documentation. Will report to the Medical Review Committee on a quarterly basis and serve as a role model for patient relations to ensure that the employees treat the patients and their families in a manner that exemplify high levels of customer service.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Experience:
Minimum 6 months PACU experience
Prior management preferred
Must demonstrate good communication skills, which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching marketing and public relations
Ability to perform ! work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds
Licensure/Certifications:
Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas
CPR certified in Basic Life Support
PALS required; ACLS recommended
