Works in a team environment, under direction of the Analysis Tea! m Manager at KU School of Nursing. Major areas of activity include (1) statistical reports production; (2) support of new product development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in social science, statistics or related field plus two (2) years relevant experience. Alternatively, Bachelor's degree in another area and five (5) years of experience.
Expertise in SAS
Experience in Excel
Familiarity with descriptive statistics
Strong communication skills, including strong telephone skills
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated record of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in social science, statistics or related field
Experience in Access and SPSS
History teaching statistics
Experience in managing healthcare databases
Experience in data report production

Under direction, develop an in-depth understanding of all aspects of NDNQI data quality and perform the following duties: develop and understand data quality code in SPSS or SAS; monitor data quality using established error reports, extract queries, and SPSS or SAS code; correspond by email and phone with external site coordinators and end users regarding data quality; correct and delete data using established criteria; assist with final quality checks of all formats of reports.
