Location: Wichita Kansas

Description: Wichita State University is at the momment seeking for Clinical Educator right now, this career will be placed in Kansas. Primary responsibilities will be to provide instruction of didactic, clinical and/or technologies lab teaching/supervision of pre-licensure nursing students in the accelerated nursing program. Parti! cipates in curriculum development; applies knowledge of evidence-based practice in teaching; participates in student advising; works collaboratively with other faculty in teaching and service; regularly attends and participates in faculty meetings and retreats; acts as a representative of the School of Nursing at activities as needed; assists in the development of program policies and procedures; promotes the mission and philosophy of the University, College of Health Professions, and School of Nursing; maintains professional expertise; maintains academic expertise.

Minimum Education (Required):

• Holds a minimum Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program upon start date

Minimum Experience (Required):

• Demonstrated the equivalent of two years full-time clinical practice in medical-surgical nursing
• Demonstrated understanding of the clinical education needs of nursing students
• Succes! sful experience with diverse populations

Preferr! ed Education:

• Doctorate in nursing/related field or completing doctorate

Preferred Experience:

• Demonstrated experience in healthcare education
• Previous successful university level teaching experience
• Experience in a collaborative/inter-professional team environment

Required licenses, certificates and registrations:

• Eligible for/hold a license to practice professional nursing in Kansas

Knowledge, skills and abilities (Required):

• Willingness to engage in inter-professional education
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated computer competency

Physical Job Requirements:
Consistent with teaching and working in a typical office and clinical environment
