The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the well being and nursing care of all residents assigned during his or her shift or tour of duty. This include! s, but is not limited to: providing nursing services; assisting in carrying out physician’s orders; assessing residents to note any changes in the resident’s conditions; responding to and reporting changes in the resident’s condition; distributing and charting medications; and responding to emergencies.

The ideal candidate for this position has an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited school of Nursing, holds a current, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in this state, and has one to three years of experience in the field.

The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Provides planned clinical services (such as administering medications, treatments, and other services prescribed by the physician) and reports unusual findings to the physician
-- Completes charge slips and oversees the billing process for Home Health Residents
-- Responds to clinical emergencies! , provides first aid and triage, and supervises transfers to a! n acute care provider
-- Admits and discharges residents as needed in Home Health, Assisted Living, and the Residential Health Center
-- Incorporates the principles and standards of Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) by participating in problem identification and solution-focused task forces
-- Completes detailed records on all residents who receive services
-- Monitors and ensures that clinical services are provided and documented fully and accurately according to physician orders, care plans, established standards, and the company's mission and policies
-- Performs other duties as assigned and needed to ensure the quality of comprehensive nursing care and other general care to residents
