Description: Brewster Place is presently looking of Housekeeper -- Brewster Place -- Environmental Services right now, this position will be placed in Kansas. The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleaning and appearance of resident’s rooms, therapy rooms, offices, and other rooms in the! nursing home facility. Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Housekeeper will ensure sanitation by carefully following company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma/GED, is able to lift 50 pounds to waist level, and can perform all of the required bending, kneeling, and standing associated with this job.

The following is a representative list of duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Clean resident’s rooms as assigned to include: dusting, furniture polishing, sanitizing bathrooms, sweeping floor, vacuuming carpet, cleans mirrors, changing linens, making beds, emptying trash, general straightening, and organizing
-- Straighten, pick-up, and organize all common areas, therapy rooms etc.
-- Straighten, pick-up and clean offices as assigned
-- Clean, curtains and drapes and re-hang as assigned
-- Assist in cleaning windows throughout the fa! cility as assigned
-- Attend related in-service trainings ! and staff meetings as requested
-- Immediately report equipment malfunctions, injuries, and accidents to supervisor
-- Use effective universal precautions and sanitation practices
-- When resident is transferred or discharged from facility, perform cleaning procedures to assure room is prepared for new occupancy
-- Perform cleaning and sanitizing procedures in accordance with infection control policies and procedures
