Job Summary:
The VoIP Engineer - Avaya will have responsibility daily operations of our domain platform, assist with M&A migration activities as well as provide leadership and guidance on new technology that provides an Enterprise class user experience.
Responsibilities:
The Avaya VoIP Engineer will be responsible ! for engineering and building complex local and enterprise-wide! Integrated Telephony networks and solutions. In addition, provide software and hardware support requiring complex integrated configurations in the areas of; PBX, Multimedia, CTI, LAN/WAN, VoIP, SIP and TCP/IP. Participate in the research, development, documentation and implementation of industry standards relevant to Converged Technologies. Other areas of responsibilities include:
Design / Support for Routing / Switching / Firewalls
Design / Tier 3" Design/Support (SME) for the following VOIP related areas:
Acme Packet Session Border Controllers
Avaya Session Manager
Avaya G860/Audio Codes Gateway
Avaya Session Manager
SIP Carriers / 3rd party partners
Design / Tier 3" engineering support of Avaya Communication Mgr.
Design / Tier 3" engineering support for Avaya Voice Portal
Design / Tier 3" engineering support for corporate LAN/WAN, including but not limited to, network security, rem! ote access, switching, wireless and application networking
Required Skills
Required Candidate Experience & Qualifications
Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
10+ years of hands-on Routing/Switching/Firewalls experience a must
3+ years of hands-on VOIP/SIP experience a must
3+ years of experience with Avaya advanced technology"/certifications a-plus
Any hands-on experience with any of the follow a-plus:
Avaya Contact Center Applications
Avaya Communications Manager 5.2+
Acme Packet Session Border Controllers
Avaya Session Manager
Avaya G860/Audio Codes Gateways
Avaya Voice Portal
Carrier SIP Services
Distributed network sniffers/analyzers
Traditional TDM/PSTN networks
Contact Center CTI" implementations
Expertise in large scale Distributed Telephony Systems (Avaya is a plus), Call Rou! ting Analysis
