The Manager of Employee Health provides leadership through strategic planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the care provided to all patients presenting to emp! loyee health. The Manager contributes to the development of policies and procedures for employee health care, and serves as a resource for the hospital through consultation, education and research at various levels to continuously improve the Employee Health processes and services. The Manager displays positive support for the values and mission of Wesley Medical Center.

Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.

Provide clinical coverage for employee health patients

Utilize appropriate diagnostic and physical assessment to aid in the development and implementation of the medical/nursing plan of care in collaboration with the supervising physician to manage illness or injury and promote wellness

Documents concisely and timely in the medical re! cords

Systematically evaluates the quality and effect! iveness of nursing practice by participation in quality of care activities to initiate, implement, and sustain process improvements

Ensures compliance with applicable Federal and State of Kansas laws and regulations

Demonstrates the ability to work a flexible schedule to cover the clinical and operational need of the department

Oversees and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of care and practices identifying opportunities for improvement through collaboration

Maintains current professional knowledge, acts as a role model/resource, and oversees direct nursing care to employees

Establishes and maintains effective and respectful communication in development of all collaborative relationships

Ability to utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills to identify, interpret, and access appropriate resources

Plans, participates in, and enforces hospital life-safety, quality, and risk management policies, p! rocedures, and standards of regulatory agencies

Oversees the development and implementation of goals and objectives for the department

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, orientation and evaluation of staff performance

Accountable for all department specific records and certifications,as required

Consistently operates department within established fiscal guidelines

Qualifications

Required Registration, Licensure or Certification

Current Licensure in the State of Kansas as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)

Required Education or Experience

Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing

Preferred Education or Experience

Advanced nursing degree

Employee Health experience

Required Knowledge and Skills

Comfortable and skilled at working with leadership, health care providers and other stakeholders in the organization
Capable of gaining immediate credibility with individuals throug! h experience, presentation, communication skills, empathy and compassion

Knowledge of PC based computer software, i.e. Word and Excel

Broad knowledge and familiarity with healthcare related regulatory and accreditation requirements

Experience with continuous compliance processes

Ability to multi-task, delegating and prioritize

Possess problem solving and critical thinking skills

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of Access and/or similar systems to include Respond and Lawson

Demonstrated intermediate to advanced knowledge and skills in a health care setting
