The National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) is a major health care research project that collects data on nurse staffing and patient outcomes from over 1800 hospitals and prov! ides hospitals with quality improvement reports. This position is a part of a small Liaison team that is responsible for working directly with member hospitals primarily over the phone and email but also through the development of structured training programs. The principal role of our liaisons is to serve on the front lines of educating our members about how to submit accurate data. Effective communication is required with health care professionals, IT professionals and external audiences. In all activities, incumbent is responsible for protecting the security and confidentiality of proprietary data submitted to the NDNQI project by participant hospitals.

Required Qualifications

BSN with four (4) years experience as a hospital-based RN.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and internet searches

Understanding of basic statistical measures, e.g., mean, mode, median, t-scores and percentiles.

Strong communication skills, including! telephone, email skills and face-to-face interaction.
Demonstrated success in sensitivity to customer satisfaction, such as patient/family interaction and issue resolution.

Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

Demonstrated record of accuracy and attention to detail.

Demonstrated teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in nursing.

Successful experience conducting workshops or courses from standardized materials or orienting professional nurses.

Experience in education or quality improvement, data collection, and customer relations.

Knowledge of research methods.
