Under the direction of the Vice President of Innovation and Workforce Development, the Director of Allied Health coordinates allied health offerings through the Department of Allied Health. Assesses learner needs within the community, develops programs, arranges adequate facilities and teaching/learning resources, implements and directs programs, evaluates program outcomes. Maintains positive collaborative relationships with the Vice President and Allied Health faculty and with the following agencies: Kansas State Board of Nursing, Kansas Board of Regents, and Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Required qualifications:
Masters degree in Nursing; 2-5 years varied nursing experience; minimum of two (2) years experience in nursing administration and/or nursing education; previous teaching experience, must have credentials verifying legal status as a registered nurse in the state; must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms; and must have a valid drivers license.

Preferred qualifications:
PhD in Nursing or related area; bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish); three (3) years experience working with minority, high-risk, and underprepared students.
