Position Type- All

Position Summary:
Our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) have the compassion and the heart-felt desire to care for and meet the needs of our residents. Each CNA within our community provides the highest degree of quality resident care in through compliance and best practices. Our CNAs will work under the supervision of the RN's or LPN's.

Essential Functions:
Review care plans to determine changes in the resident's daily activity

Ability to Observe and inform Nurse of any changes

Document notes reflects the care plan is being followed

Informs supervisor of supplies and equipment needs to meet the day to day operational needs of the facility and residents.

Responds to residences needs in a timely, professional, helpful, and courteous manner, regardless of residence attitude.

Maintain the confidentiality of all residence PHI.

Report any complaints made by residents to the Director of Nursing.

“Knock” Before Entering the resident's room

Report incidents or suspected incidents of resident abuse to the DON immediately.

Honor the resident's refusal of treatment or medication request

Report a residence refusal of treatment or medication to eh nurse supervisor/ Charge Nurse

Attend Annual in-service training programs such as; OSHA, TB, HIPAA, Abuse Prevention, Safety, Infection Control, ect.

Attend and participate in orientation programs as necessary.

Participate in an in-service training program prior to performing tasks that involve potential exposure to blood of body fluids.

EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Must be a graduate of a State-approved CNA program

One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred

Must have CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation.
