The Institutional Sales Representative (IS2) position is responsible for developing business partnerships and relationships with healthcare providers within the institutiona! l environment. Day-to-day responsibilities consist of supporting the promotional efforts behind our products, which includes interactions with HCPs to include; office based, long term care physicians, consultant pharmacists, medical directors and other interdisciplinary customers within nursing facilities. This position must understand the institutional and long term care business, including managed care, formulary approval process, and medical advisory panels. The Institutional Sales Representative (IS2) position fulfills Forest’s business and physician/customer needs based on a clear understanding of the business; identifies and prioritizes key business opportunities based upon customer relationships, market data, managed care and long-term care trends.

This position involves setting priorities, establishing objectives and milestones, while identifying and allocating resources appropriately. This position will also develop specific objectives and appropriate pr! e-call plans for each physician/customer call; prepare multipl! e product presentations and evaluate results of each call to determine if objectives were met. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the medical and/ or pharmaceutical industry.Well-developed written and oral communication skills and to interface with different departments throughout the organization.Applies a range of traditional and non-traditional problem-solving techniques to think through and solve issues creatively to improve performance and company effectiveness.Ability to build rapport and relationships in an institutional environment to make an immediate impact in front of health care professionals.Highly effective organizational skills to balance multiple priorities.Candidates should have experience influencing formulary decisions as well as knowledge of the institutional (hospital) sales environment and managed care markets.

Advanced business analytical skills to identify tr! ends, opportunities and threats to then determine actions to drive business or Strong documented sales results over time.Demonstrates solid clinical product knowledge.Computer Skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.Some overnight travel may be required.Candidates must be able to successfully pass background, motor and drug screen investigations.
