Description REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services JOB GOALS: Promotes the fullest possible educational opportunity f! or each student in the district by minimizing absence due to i! llness and creating a climate of health and well-being in the district schools.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Reports to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school medical matters.2. Assumes responsibility for the first aid care of a student or staff member who has suffered injury or illness.3. Provides health education on an individual basis.4.
Visits home of students when necessary or when referred by principals.5. Advises on modification of the educational program to meet health needs of individual students.6. Advises teachers on health matters, particularly regarding screening for student health problems.7. Interprets laws relating to school health.8.
