Nueterra has an opportunity for two (2) Clinical Directors to join the Corporate Services Domestic US Operations Division. This role includes responsibility for the following: Clinical Education, Policy and Procedure development, Performance Improvement, Infection Control Prevention, Clinical Support including resourcing and validating clinical queries against nationally recognized standards, and Plan of Correction support and implementation. This position also provides clinical expertise in Clinical Operations for both Denovo and Resyndication projects, Accreditation/licensure survey readiness, expert! ise and support in both the hospital and ambulatory surgery ce! nter setting.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide tools to Administrators and Nursing Leaders in establishing a staffing plan for each patient care area and maintaining a qualified staff through in-service training and staff development
Provide assistance in implementation of the staffing plan and monitoring effectiveness of the plan
Conducts various reviews of facility operations and compliance including, but not limited to: Joint Commission readiness survey, CMS readiness survey, AAAHC readiness survey, DNV readiness survey, focused area survey, CORE survey, State compliance survey
Serves as a part of the development team for any development projects assigned
Coordinates with the facility leadership to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations
Provides leadership and education to the clinical staff and other patient care personnel regarding practice standards and requirements
In conjunction wi! th Facility Leadership, implements Nueterra's quality management program activities for patient care, treatment, and services
Maintains current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal, licensing and state policies and directives, and current nursing practice standards
Attends facility Board, CQI, Safety, Infection Control, etc. meetings as requested by Facility Leadership and Group Vice President
Education, Experience, & Desired Qualifications
Registered Nurse License (RN) in the state of Kansas
Bachelors of Science in Nursing or related field
Five to ten (5-10) years experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferable in a management role
Thorough knowledge of standards, survey methodology and related tools and resources for regulatory and accreditation compliance required
Thorough knowledge of accreditation standards ,federal rules and regulations, professional organization standards, CIHQ, AORN, ASPAN
Thorough! knowledge of nursing processes and industry best practice standards in! the areas of peri-anesthesia, peri-operative, quality and med-surgical
Thorough knowledge of quality measures for hospitals and ASC's
Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a very active and fast paced work environment
