Olathe Health System, Inc. is the parent company of Olathe Medical Center, Miami County Medical Center and Olathe Medical Services Inc., a network of physician clinics offering care in Johnson, Miami, Anderson and Linn Counties. POSITION SUMMARY: The outpatient PHYSICAL THERAPIST evaluates, plans, and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients rang! ing in age from newborn to geriatric according to the principl! es and practices of Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist collaborates with the members of the interdisciplinary care team; prepares written documentation pertaining to patient evaluation, treatment, education, and discharge planning; schedules patient treatments and meetings; supervises the work of Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA's), Rehabilitation Aides, Student Physical Therapists, and Student Physical Therapist Assistants; assists in preparing and conducting inservice training and continuing education programs; assists in the orientation and competency assessment of Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Rehabilitation Aides; may participate in Performance Improvement activities and processes; and is expected to support the mission, vision, and values of Olathe Medical Center, Inc.
SUPERVISERS: No staff formally report to the Outpatient Physical Therapist. However, the Outpatient Physical Therapist does clinically supervise PT Assi! stants, students, observers, etc. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM EDUCATION: Degree from accredited PT Education Program MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Previous Healthcare Experience preferred LICENSE, REGISTRATION &/or CERTIFICATION: KS Physical Therapist License Healthcare Provider CPR - (American Red Cross or American Heart Association ONLY) SKILLS: OrganizationalVerbal CommunicationAbility to Multi Task and Prioritize preferredMicrosoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) preferredComputer Systems (e.g., EMR) preferred Equal Employment Opportunity Employer (EOE) Flag Setting: ~CB~
