Hospital Director of Nursing

Location: Tribune Kansas

The Hospital DON will manage 19-bed critical access hospital medical/surgical nursing department. The Hospital DON supervises approximately 20 hospital nursing staff. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. The Hospital DON works closely with the Long Term Care DON to coordinate staffing schedules and develop/implement operational po! licies and procedures, standards of performance, strategic pla! nning, and patient care programs. DON will work closely with medical staff and help advise and assist Administrators to evaluate functions of and coordinate activities in the nursing unit as a whole. This position sits on the Senior Leadership Team for the organization and will require some civic and community participation.
Qualified applicant must be a Registered Nurse in Kansas. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in leadership or charge nurse role is preferred. Full-time benefits including health insurance and retirement. Competitive Wages. 8am-5pm. Monday-Friday with on-call rotation. Years of experience are taken into consideration for salary. Salary range is $60,000-$80,000.
