Description: Fort Hays State University is at present recruited Visiting or Assistant Professor of Marketing right now, this position will be placed in Kansas. More complete informations about this position opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Position : The position is tenure-track
with responsibility for teaching four three-hour courses per semester
(12 credit hours per s! emester) at the undergraduate and graduate level
that apply to program requirements in Marketing and Marketing Research.
Some courses will need to be developed and delivered using the Internet,
video and/or other interactive technologies. In addition, candidates
are required to be engaged in scholarly activities, and to render
service to the profession and College of Business & Entrepreneurship
(COBE). Normal evaluation is based on teaching (60%), research (20%)
and service (20%).
Qualifications : A Ph.D. or D.B.A. in
Marketing or a related field is preferred. D.B.A. faculty candidates
must have research-based doctoral studies and an established track
record of research. Ph.D. ABD faculty candidates should have
expectations to finish dissertation work within three years of ABD
status, and must have demonstrated research potential. A record of
successful teaching is desirable. Faculty candidates who are considere! d academically qualified
under AACSB guidelines will recei! ve strongest consideration. Successful
candidates will have consented to and successfully completed a criminal
background check.
Salary and Benefits : Salary is
competitive for educational qualifications. Benefits include medical,
life, and contributory TIAA-CREF or similar retirement systems.

The Department : The Department of
Management and Marketing has 15 full-time faculty members with
approximately 750 upper-level students enrolled. Functional BBA
specialties of Management, Marketing, and Tourism & Hospitality
Management, are included in the Department.
The College : The College of Business
& Entrepreneurship is seeking accreditation and offers programs
through the MBA level. Business degree prog! rams include the MBA and
undergraduate majors in Management, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality
Management, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Business
Education, Information Systems Administration, Finance, and
International Business and Economics.
The University : FHSU is a comprehensive
regional university responsible for service to the western two-thirds
of the State of Kansas. It has an approximate enrollment of more than
13,000 students with 4,746 students on campus. It offers undergraduate
and graduate programs in a variety of majors, including professional
programs such as teaching, business, and nursing.
The Community : Hays
has a population of approximately 20,000 excluding the University. It
is located mid-way between Kansas City and Denver on Interstate 70. It

Additional Information Applicable to Position :
Full-time Assistant Professor of Marketing with a four-course load per
semester (12 credit hours). The person hired will be responsible for
developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the
Marketing area (which may include undergraduate Marketing Principles,
Marketing Strategy, and Promotion Strategy, as well as graduate/MBA
Marketing Management), maintaining academic qualifications through
scholarly work, and rendering appropriate service. Preference given to
faculty candidates willing and abl! e to teach in the on-campus and online
