The role of the Research Nurse Clinician is defined as someone who works with multidisciplinary teams directing patient care in a clinical research environment. The Research Nurse Clini! cian is expected to assist with the consenting and enrollment of study patients with the Investigator/Sub-Investigator in the clinic. The Research Nurse Clinician is involved in new or unique clinical research protocols, utilizing advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans as well as revise plans to adjust to changes according to the clinical research protocol. The Research Nurse Clinician must possess professional knowledge of a wide range of nursing concepts, principles, and practices to perform highly specialized nursing assignments as well as knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmacology. Additional responsibilities include involvement in the coordination of study start-up requirements and other duties that may be assigned by the management staff.

Required Qualifications

Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas

Previous experience in clinical trial! s

Detail oriented and ability to multi-task

! Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Quality patient care directly and indirectly

Basic proficiency in computer skills

Proficient in patient charting, chart review

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing

Oncology nursing and/or research experience

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional Electronic Medical Record charting, computer skills

Research Certification
